Lauren was one of my brides from a few years ago so when her sister in law Tracey told me Lauren was expecting a baby and would I help her style a surprise baby shower I was absolutely delighted.
It was to be a light brunch for Lauren and her girls held in a private dining room in a local establishment in Kilmarnock.
I used a few key pieces to decorate the large dresser and opposite wall. On the long table I set out some jars for Tracey to pop in some fresh flowers; coordinating gold tealights along the length of the lunch table together with some alternating pink and blue gingham napkins completed the look.
Tracey and her daughter Kate went on a little shopping trip and found some pink & blue wrapped sweeties to fill my little prams. The twinkle twinkle little star cake was so cute and Tracey had bought a co-ordinating balloon to place beside the cake.
I made a personalised baby shower sign and this with a few tealights were popped behind the cake and that was the room all ready for Lauren to arrive.
This was not the only surprise for Lauren as her sister who lives in Qatar made the journey over to surprise Lauren on her special day.
I’d just like to thank Tracey for asking me to style the baby shower and also like to offer my congratulations to Lauren and Gareth on their lovely news and I’m looking forward to hearing all about when baby Hardy arrives.
